Windows XP Services
Disabling unimportant Windows XP services frees up system resources and my improve your owerall Windows XP performance and security. Please understand that changing the default windows services settings can be dangerous and may cause general malfunction and problems of your system. The problem arise when the Windows XP system or some specific application needs some disabled services to function. Be very careful when disabling default services. The list assumes the computer is running Windows XP in a home environment without special applications or hardware.
Enable = leave the default settings intact, either Automatic or Manual. It is not reccomended to modify the default settings of the service.
Probably = safety of disabling the service depends on the configuration of your system hardware and applications.
